Last weekend

This previous weekend was pretty interesting. Hopefully next weekend will be good too because Jay will have his car back and maybe Jon won't be working and we can all get together and hang out again. It seemed like a lot of stuff happened "Car wise" in the past few days."
1.) Brandon Totaled his car
2.) John H. and I both raced that black vette
3.) Me and Kent had a little run in G-ville last night with a badass White SS
4.) ***** races Kyle and by an act of God didn't get beat that bad and thinks that he can keep up with me now....?
5.) Jon decides he is gonna go speeding like crazy and gets caught by 5-0.
6.) Kyle thinks his car is slow because Will pulled him in his factory "beast"
7.) Not car wise, but Travis drops his phone is water and he won't be getting a new one till about Wednesday.

yea ive got all the freebies plus a few little things that are in my sig. ss hood and ss spoiler is all i want appearance wise and then ill be done with the looks. actually any aftermarket hood will do.

if i could get away with it id have a 4.10 in there now but pops would wonder where he hell my car was while the work was bein done. i cant get away with shit, the man is like god he knows everything i do somehow.

i dont think the difference from 3.42 to 3.73 would be all that noticable. 4.10 cars still get good highway mileage too from what i hear.

well kyle, let me speak from experience. You are wrong about feeling a difference with 3.73's. It may not be as much as you feel with 4.10's but there is definantly a noticable difference. Gears was the only reason I hung with the white SS the other night (that and the fact that I can hit 3rd LOL).
I might end up getting 4.10's in a year or so since I don't drive my car everyday anymore. Kyle, If you get the gears kinda discretely we can get you an appointment with the guy who is doing Jay's gears or even Mike will do your gears in a few hours! Why would your old man be very curious if your car was gone for a couple of hours?? There is no way he could ever figure it out.

heck no man. The guy who did my gears had it done in less than 4 hours. I'm tellin ya we can pull this off easy and it will give your car a lot more "get up." And gears are not that expensive if you are looking for power. And kent, take a bunch of photos of your car and post them on LS1tech under a sticky thread titled "for those wanting sig pics" a guy named "doubt it" will hook you up for free. It will probably only take him about 4 days.

I got a guy I work with to do my gear for me. He does really good quality work in about 4 hours possibly less. He will charge about 175.

I lucked up and found my gear on E-bay for REALLY cheap. I paid $80. You can get brand new gears form Summit for around $150. If I were either of you I would go with brand new gears. Don't risk getting used ones like I did, I just got lucky.

dont get richmond gears they suck but as far as gas mileage i get 23 to 24 mpg on the highway with my 4.10 and my guy can do it for 150 labor

idk i think its pretty fast for a stock car, but then again my bad knock sensors are causing 4 degrees of timing at be pulled at WOT, idk how much that effects the car but it made me feel a little bit better about my driving. hopefuly i can get chris to tune this thing once i scrap enough $.

Davids car is fast as hell for the mods done. BTW an 01 6 speed could put down 327 stock without much problem. My 01 SS stock with 660 miles put 333 on the ground.

yep, he had his "gear guy" take a look at it a couple weeks ago and he had 5 splines broken off the pinion gear. He is getting all new 4.10's installed and should have it back tomorrow or maybe thursday at the latest.
