Well this weekend I didn't get to do anything involving club meetings or cruising. Friday night I had to work and as soon as I got off my friends from boston MA arrived so I spent most of the weekend with them (after I was finished with the National Guard Drill). Benefit for a sick child on Saturday and after that I just sat at the house forever with old friends. The only thing automotive wise that was accomplished was Mike tuning the car one more time to get the idle perfect. I feel the need to race now pretty bad, so whats goin on this weekend, if anyting? BTW, lowering springs should be here Thursday or Friday.

well lets see let me tell you one thing i seafoamed my car and thats the most smoke i have ever seen im my life but at least thats a good thingbut i think we should all get togather on sat that way someone might be at westgate. maybe go eat somewhere and figure out something about the stickers but as far as a place i would say maybe...........sugar and spice or something like that

I just Seafomed mine this weekend too!! It was awesome to stomp it afterward and not be able to see anything behind you except a huge, white, thick cloud of smoke. No longer my problem, mother nature can have it now!

it takes about 10 min to seafoam your car and a few seconds to peel out of your driveway and watch all the smoke come out of the back. After a couple of peelouts you're done.

No dyno for me on Thursday or Friday. WORK WORK WORK! I am getting really sick of working on the weekends. I am ready to hang out with you guys and raise some hell. The springs should come in on Friday possibly Saturday. I'll let you know. I don't know if I will have to work on Saturday or not. David if you take the fronts off my buddy at the Chevy place will do the change over for 25 bucks takes about 10 mins. No nothing done to the 97 just looking for a baseline. Jay Clemson an the Bears really don't count as sports teams in my book. LOL!!!

willy hasn't had as a good a year as last year, but look at his stats he's still waaaaay ahead of everyone in the area and i think still leads the state. i personally think he's better than clemson caliber and shoulda went somewhere else but he always been a clemson fan. i think he's that good and im not bein biased about it just bc hes my friend.

I am wondering if I should go ahead and replace the shocks at the same time I do the springs. I mean, they do have over 100k miles on them. Its probably time. I really hope I don't have to work on Saturday cause I would like to tackle the springs this weekend assuming they arrive on Friday. Jay, are you working on Saturday and if so what hours cause I would like your help. Travis, if I replace the shocks what kind should I go with? Monroe possibly? And how much can I expect to pay for them?

bilsteins hd's are usually a popular choice among f-bodies. that or you can get sam strano on ls1tech to revalve a pair of bilsteins according to the spring rates on your springs.

Kyle I wasn't saying hes not the best in the state he might be but compared to Jimmy Clausen he ain't much. Clemson is about the kind of school I expect him to be at they use short to intermidate passing to set up the ground game. He will need alot of coaching to become a top tier college QB an I'm not sure Clemson has the coaches for that just my .02. Dave you need to get revalved Bilsteins or Koni SA's they Bilsteins are around $550 a set an take no less than 2 weeks to recieve (thats what I have). The Koni are in stock an ready to ship but they are about 8 bills a set. If you can't afford it now then wait on the spring install till you get them. Those new springs are going to over power those piece of shit deCarbons that you have now an the ride will be like something in the Omish Country. Plus if ypou go ahead with the install you will have to do it all over again when you order the new shocks. No shock that you get at Advance or these parts store around will do. Tust me on this, I know some of the other guys are going to say I'm nuts or whatever, I spent an hour on the phone with Sam Strano the guru of f body suspenion. Seriouly listen to me I know what I'm talking about! I just noticed Kyles comment on the Bilstein HD's,these will work but not as good as a set of revalved bilstiens, they are about $350 a set ready to ship. this is the bottom of the ladder as far as what shocks you can run.

just for time bein put your springs on jon is on stock shocks and kent was too it doesnt ride as good as if you put the revelved bielstiens but if you aint got the money then do the springs and you can do the shocks later in my opinion but its up to you man for the ones of us that dont have alot of cash and want to look good now this is way to go

Hey man I understand not having the money. I'm just saying wait an put the springs on after you get the new shocks just to avoid the hassle of doing it twice. The springs are not going to go bad or anything. Thats the reason I didn't have my car at the Clock that night waiting on shocks. This is just my .02 its your car an you can do as you wish , just think about it this way did you cut corners on any other part of the car? Then way do this second rate? As far as the track goes thats where shit gets tore up.

buy some stickeys. thats going to be my next investment when I sell some other tires that I have that wouldn't fit. I am having a spinning problem completly through first gear now, no matter what rpm I stomp it at. 2nd spins for the first couple seconds too if the tires are cold. And Jon, I don't have 1K in dogs I promise you, not even 500. And I am not broke, that was just a statement that meant I don't want to spend the money now. I have a credit card with a 10K limit and I never carry a balance on it and I don't plan to start now.
On another note, I was supposed to race a guy with a B16 Turbo Civic last night after work that has talked an unbelivable amount of shit about my car and how he is gonna blast me and spray 110 octane all over my windshield. I had some friends call him and they made up all kinds of stuff and told him that I said his car was a POS, which that part was true, and they got him all fired up and he swore he was gonna be there when I got off. As usual he didn't show his face and never answered his phone after about 15 calls. I got all pumped up for nothing again. So if any of you guys ever see a dookey brown 4-door civic with a intercooler in the front and a loud spool coming from it with exhaust that sounds like total crap and it will be a black guy driving it, please bust his ass for me.
