Michael Schumacher retiring from F1

I'm a few days late on this one but Schumacher announced that last F1 race in October for the 2006 season would be his last , also. The crowd was stunned at this and all sources state there was no forseeing this announcement , it was quite sudden. He did not mention any future plans , either. This will be an interesting story to follow and I predict he's not going to drop out of racing altogether.

From what I heard there was some speculation before the race that he would retire. I heard a few days before that there would be a "big" announcement from him and it sure was.

He has an amazing career to look back to. Watched many of his races and its just stunning the accomplishments he has had and the domination for many years.
