Confirmed: Juan Montoya is leaving F1 to drive for Chip Ganassi in NASCAR. He is actually taking a pay CUT to do this! Still , he feels like the challenge will compensate for that. This should be a must see for how he does. I think he will be up for it.
Rumor: Danica Patrick is a possibilty , too. Her contract expire in IRL at the end of the season and her father& manager ,T.J Patrick, was a guest at Jack Roush's garage at Chicagoland Speedway last weekend. She has expressed a deep interest in this and says that the money would be better. Could it be? Stay tuned.....
I think these are some pretty smart moves on NASCAR's part. Montoya will be the only foreign born regular driver and NASCAR is looking to diversify . He is an excellent driver and should be very competitive. Tony Stewart came from the same background in terms of racing and he has definitely proven himself.
Danica? Well what needs to be said here? She's one of the most charismatic drivers in all of the racing series out there and you know she would be a definite plus for NASCAR.
