Duplicolor has a two step paint system called Metalcast, you paint it with a silver basecoat then the colorcoat.

I'm stuck in eternal sanding hell right now. Plus this site has been keeping me occupied. I want to get it done but I really want to get it done right.

well it looks great so far... keep it up.. what are you sanding? the engine bay and what else? the whole car or will it stay that blue w/ stripes?

Doing the engine bay and undercarriage, engine bay will be body color and the undercarriage will be POR-15 flat black.

Have you used por-15 before? I ask cause I have some but have never cracked the can, I was thinkin of using it on my diff cover, and maybe some
of the under carriage.
