Little background on this one: Back in the 60's , you could actually rent a Shelby GT350 from Hertz. The cars were painted black and gold just for Hertz. These are very rare and sought after cars. I'm sure quite a few met horrible ends being a rental car and all. Still , it's pretty cool that you could rent a road racer . Hertz didn't do this very long , I guess it just wasn't profitable.

I also heard that the high performance engines in the originals would somehow dissapear and a weak 289 was dropped in place mysteriously while the cars were rented sometimes.
