Old post, but Mach are very similar to the N/A Cobras of 96-01. The 03-04 "Terminator" Cobras are an entirely different beast...
Manual Machs have the same forged crank. Autos use a cast crankshaft.
Machs use 10.1:1 compression hypereutectic pistons and cast rods. 03/04 Cobras have forged Manley H-Beam rods and Forged pistons, 8.5:1 c/r.
Depending on your setup/tune, the Mach shortblocks are good to around 450-500 crank horsepower. If you look around you'll find 800+rwhp Terminators still on the stock block.

Machs also use a cast aluminum engine block as well (WAP). Saves about 100lbs :)
We share our transmission and rear end with GT's (Tremec 3650, 4R70W for the autos, all with 28 spline SRA) 96-98 Cobras were SRA also with I believe the T-45, which also made it into the 99 model. 99+ Cobras are IRS.
As far as transmissions, 01 cobras use the Mach/GT trans, terminators use a 6-speed T-56

Aluminum block, forged crank, cast rods and pistons, high compression. The fully forged cobra motors were 03-04
Here's a stock block TT 03 Cobra. If only the guy could drive!!!!
