I need to figure out how much my car weighs for some suspension work. Does anyone know of somewhere in the Greenville/Spartanburg area?

You can go to CRG on Wade Hampton Blvd. just outside Greer. The scales are very accurate.

Its a recycling center/scrap yard.

That sounds like an awsome way to get a nail or screw in your tires.

its CRC isnt it? You dont have to take anything to recycle? To pull up to weigh yourself? Ive taken a few loads there before in the tahoe.

They have a scale that is pretty accurate. You can drive on it after hours. Very clean paved area.

My 94 GT with full interior, Corbeau front seats, AC, power everything, 17s, AFRs, blower, 5-spd was 3,240lbs.

The '87 LX hatch AOD is 3,000 lbs all stock.

+1. i have been there several times. I know the owners real well, and they have never had an issue with it.

Sweet, I might do this! So you say you can drive on it after hours? That would be nice and wouldn't hold up their work day.

Truck stops have certified accurate scales. Big deal for truckers if total weight, or weight per axle is too heavy, or not heavy enough. Any of the truck stops should be able to give you total and per axle weights. I know for certain Cowpens truck stop on exit 83 on I 85 and T/A at exit 63 on I 85 both have certified CAT scales. Pilot on exit 63 may have also.

There's a scrap metal recycler on Valley Falls Rd. I pass it every day but can't remember the name(old age). It's just past USCS. These places scales are usually pretty acurate.
