I compiled a few threads to put into this section because it started out as one or two things I was going to do to the truck when I got it, but God knows how I can't leave anything alone.

Picture of it on the lot when I found it. This is where it all started...

Of course the first thing I done to the truck was tint it since im THAT GUY THAT IS THE SHIT AT TINTING WINDOWS. LLumar ATR 5% on the sides and the rear, even over the factory tint that came in the back. Including a windshield "visor" strip. To answer your question, YES it is darker than dark but looks amazing.

If you have a truck and want the sprayed in bedliner look but don't want to dump a bunch of money into it, Herculiner is a good alternative. It is available at your local auto parts store for $90, which is a few big face bills shy of the cheapest of sprayed in bedliners. I did this to my truck as of yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with how it turned out. So far it has been well worth the money, but only time will tell so I plan to update this thread in the future. This is a write up just saying how I did it.

Items Needed:
-Herculiner kit (comes complete with rollers and a brush)
-Acetone
-Rubber Gloves
-A few clean rags
-Paint tray
-Paint stirrer (drill operated preferably)
-A full day with no plans
-Optional: 150 grit wet or dry sandpaper

First remove your current bedliner and wash the debris and dirt out of the bed of the truck. I chose to use 150 grit paper on the bed first to scuff the clear coat in the bed.

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o193/WhiteIrocZ/HPIM1325.jpg

Hose all the dust from the wetsanding out of the bed. Now that it is nice and scuffed, further continue to remove any shine at all from the bed of the truck with the scotchbrite included in the kit. Take the time now to mask the truck off so you can scuff right up to the edge where you want the bedliner to end. Next, wipe the entire bed really good with acetone to remove any grease or wax.

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o193/WhiteIrocZ/HPIM1329.jpg

Now you are ready to apply the Herculiner. Put on the rubber gloves. Mix the gallon of Herculiner up really good. Its pretty thick so a drill operated mixer is ideal. Pour it into a paint tray and use the included brush to do all the nooks and crannies where the roller won't reach. Next, roll on the first coat of the bedliner.

I gave the first coat about 1.5 hours to set up in the hot sun. I repeated the process for the second coat. Be sure not to get this stuff on you or you will live with it on your skin until it wears off. Then, I gave the second coat about 30 minutes and then removed the masking tape. Of course it depends on the temperature and humidity on how long it takes to dry, but mine was touchable about 2 hours later. One day later, I'm hauling stuff in the truck with no problems. I'm sure it takes a few weeks to fully cure because it still reeks like it does when you are putting it on. I'm happy with the finished product, it looks much better than the plastic bedliner that was in it. I completely scuffed the entire bed and wiped it over with acetone twice, so if this stuff starts coming off, it has absolutely nothing to do with the prep work. It took me about 5 hours to completely prep the bed.

Here's the finished product:

Notice it is mid day when the prep work is being done and damn near night in the finished pics. I wasn't joking when I said a whole day with nothing to do.

I installed a Suspension Max 2/3 inch drop on the truck too. 2 inch drop spindles for the front to maintain ride quality and suspension geometry and 3 inch billet angled blocks in the rear. Sits it down to a nice stance and also still rides nice and smooth, handles much better, and drives great. Got the setup shipped to the door for $180. The parts were very good quality and much cheaper than the Belltech setup.

Also picked up a set of clear park lights while I was at it. Looking better...

Next it was time for a new head unit to complement the already installed Infinity Bass Link. I've been tossing around the idea of a Double-DIN unit and just happen to find a good deal on one from Crutchfield. Its a Clarion NX409 unit, including DVD, NAV, Sirius, IPOD interface, Aux in for the Crackberry, USB port, and back up camera. It cleaned up the mids and highs tremendously and also made the bass link more responsive.

The OLD:

Negative on that. The paint will be a 6 or 7ish if I can ever get a day to buff it and do a full detail on it.

Thanks man. The 30 mpg I'm getting now will for sure drop with twinks on it but it sure would look good with the stance it has now.

20 inch Iroc wheels.

I was thinking of getting a set of used Black 5 spoke 20's with a machined lip that I know of. I'd like to keep as much bling on the daily as possible. I might see if I can throw the Iroc wheels off Snow White to throw on there for a few days or at least snap some pics of it. I'm sure that would be a much better ride than 20's but not dope fresh dub baller status haha.

I wan't to see 1.7's from the Sdime next Thursday. No exceptions. Toting the fronts if possible.

I'll leave the 1.7 60 fts. to the old wore out 305TPI in the Iroc.

how much would you charge to put tint on the driver and passenger's side windows on a 2002 jeep cherokee?

My factory radio would give me weather and traffic reports and they do make aftermarket units to do the same, but this one doesn't. I never used it anyways.

Decided to throw on the Iroc wheels off of snow white onto the dime. It definitely stops a lot better with 245's than it did with the stocker wheels with 205's on them. I know its not blingin baller status, but what do you guys think??

Thanks guys. I haven't decided whether or not I want to run them on the Iroc when its finished up yet or go with something aftermarket and a good bit lighter, but for now I think they've found themselves on the truck for a while.

I'll be updating the IrocZ build thread here shortly. Finally getting a good start on it now but there is a slight change in plans....
