Im getting close to needing a set of tires for the truck and I want a mud tire or a really agressive a/t. I also dont want a single directional tire. Im looking at the BFG M/T or the good year MTR, what do yall think. :chevy:

heres another one to look at the firestone destination m/t it is also another decent m/t tire depending on size the goodyear mtrs are kinda pricey buti actually have heard good from both tires. both look awsome on trucks if that matters what size wheels do you have if u in fact have 16 inch rims a nice 285 or possibly 305 would look great

I got 305's now and there to wide for stock rims, Im just looking because im getting a 6-9in lift soon, (Ha I said 69) and need somthing to replace my 33's
I do like the look of the firestones, and by the way the bfg cost $7 more per tire than the goodyears, but the firestones are around $50 cheaper. That make make my mind up for me.

go with some decent interco tires (super swampers) you will probably need something bigger than a 36 for it to look decent the biggest m/t goodyear and bfg make is 35 i think a nice 36x 14r 15 tire would look bad as hell either way you will probably get crappy road noise, and bad tire wear a radial will be your best choice this is just my opinion take it like a grain of salt what ever you decide I WANT PICTURES there is a truck in town here crew/longbox and that truck is cool even on stock tires big trucks lifted are cool as hell

With a 6in kit the highest "reccomended" height tire is 35's and after some research the firestones are the best tires in all the categories. So if I stick with 35's it will be the firestones, any bigger and Ill go interco or Ground Hawgs. There will be pictures.

Im one step ahead of you on the coilover kit system. I just got this from fabtch.
GM K2500HD Long Travel Coilover Conversion System
Fabtech raises the bar again in suspension innovation and design with the release of our Long Travel Dirt Logic 4.0 Coilover Conversion system for 2001-2005 GM K2500HD’s. This cutting edge system eliminates the factory torsion bar assembly, replacing the bars with a Coilover shock configuration for increased ground clearance at the frame and outstanding ride characteristics both on and offroad.
The factory control arms were never designed for the load of a Coilover shock therefore they are removed and replaced with our extended length upper tubular arms and lower plated and boxed style arms to properly support the load of the Dirt Logic 4.0 Coilover shock. The new upper and lower arms are 1” longer than stock and will provide 12” of wheel travel without bind. The arms are available for use with ball joints, for mainly highway use with light offroad driving or with 1” spherical bearings for severe offroad use.
Unique to this new application is our Dirt Logic 4.0 Coilover shock with a remote reservoir system for exceptional performance. The Dirt Logic 4.0’s attach to a heavily gusseted tubular Coilover shock bucket for solid support. The buckets are braced to multiple locations on the frame and to a large, bolt in, tubular crossmember that spans under the oil pan to each frame rail. System includes Limiting Straps, Urethane Bump Stops, billet sway bar links and more. For extreme offroad use we offer an optional Dirt Logic 2.25 Hydraulic Bump Stop system and Soft Ride rear Leaf Springs and Hanger system.
HD Rear Soft Ride Long travel Leaf Springs & Hanger System
This rear system was originally developed to compliment our front Coilover Conversion system to provide increased rear suspension travel with a smooth ride for both on and offroad use. The installation of the Soft Ride Leaf Springs will provide similar ride quality enhancements when used with our 6” and 8” Performance systems.
The rear Soft Ride Leaf Springs are a 5 leaf pack with nylon glide pads between each leaf and come with a small bottom overload leaf. These springs will provide increased travel with a smoother ride as compared to the stock leaf springs. Please note that the factory load carrying capacity will be reduced with the use of the Soft Ride Leaf Springs.
Our rear leaf spring Hanger Brackets are constructed of 1 /4” thick steel and directly replace the factory units. They will provide 3” of lift without affecting the ride or load carrying capacity of the vehicle
For 6” lift applications the installation of the Soft Ride Leaf Springs will level the vehicle. On vehicles equipped with our 8” Performance System the installation of the Soft Ride Leaf Springs and 2” Lift Block will level the ride height of the vehicle. For vehicles that have the 8” Coilover Conversion System will require the Soft Ride Leaf Springs and the Spring Hanger System.
