i have the same porter and it works great ... but you shoud look on ebay for a better price ... you can pick up the polish and wax alot cheaper i think ... Kyle sometimes buys in bulk and might split the cost ..

just get the 105, 205 combo and go to town. the pinnacle stuff is a little high for what you're doing. like paying $200 for some Jordans to go play street ball in.

as far as im concerned, its a waste of money on a daily driver. you could have the car looking pristine on a saturday and by monday its dirty as usual.

www.detailedimage.com is where I do al of my detail supply shopping. Buy the PC elsewhere cheaper....and you can also get a set of pads cheaper too. Don't worry about buying a clay "kit".....just get a bar of clay and use soapy water for lube. Like Tim said, you can buy stuff in large quantity and save a TON. Don't bother with Pinnacle.....Meguairs is much better for the price.

Yep.....the Meguaris 105/205 combo is all I use for correcting and polishing paint. It's all a novice will ever need. 105 cuts hard, but with the PC you won't hardly risk burning through anything. You can go from 1500 grit sanding scratches to a 100% swirl free, sealant ready finish in two steps...that's unheard of with any other prodcuts.

It's all in the prep. Sure, he can have it in pristine condition one day, then it gets dirty the next. But if it's PREPPED and PROTECTED properly, maintenance and cleanging is 100% easier if you maintain it regularly.

If you use this, I promise it will be the last wash you will ever use. In addition, you can mix it up as detail spray and clay lube. A gallon will last you over 100 washes. It pays for itself in it's ease of use. Pay a quarter per wash and wash your car in half the time, only use 1 gallon of water for the whole car, wash it in the garage if ya want, and it is always safer on the paint.

This is probably the most valuable tool in any detailers aresenal bc it's so versatile. Dilute is 10:1 to clean interior carpet, stains, wheels, tires, wheel wells, bumpers, anytihng on the car at all...it is clear coat safe. Dilute it 4:1 for heavy stuff.

To me, this statement means that it rains on my car, and when I walk out afterwards, the car looks like it was just washed. Thats def 100% easier.

Actually....if a car was just detailed and no dirt or just had time to settle on the car....and it rained......that should and could happen. Paint should be so slick and free from fallout/contaminants that the water won't settle and just runs off.
This is a good demo of how a preperly prepped and protected car should repel water.

Kyle....I HIGHLY recommend the Opti-Seal paint sealant. It may seem cheest in the fact that you just wipe it on and walk away...but that's really all their is to it for real. Many of the top detailers on Autopia swear by the stuff. It is like $24 for a small portion of it....but that little guy is enough to do 45-50 cars if you apply it properly. You will know if you are putting too much on bc it will streak. Every month or so....you can find it on sale at DetailedImage for $18, and if you do, I would just all over it.
DoDo Juice is good stuff I hear, but man that stuff is too high. I think it is geared more towards to high end comsumers that like to pay hgiher prices for things just because they can. Meguairs 16 (if you can find it anywhere) is a favorite among detailers, and it is CHEAP. A favorite OTC wax is Meguairs NXT...try it out, its available anywhere.
Here's what will yirled good results for you...
-Wash with Dawn to strip everything off
-clay with a fine/medium grade
-Meguairs APC on all the stubbron areas like wheels, wheel wells, tires
-105/205
-Seal with Opti-Seal
-Top it with NXT
My favorite tire dressing right now, and you can use it for all rubber and plastic....if Aerospace 303. It leaves a nice matte/satin finsish, lasts a while, and will not sling bc it's not thick. I also picked that up on sale CHEAP at DI.com

Maybe so, IDK....it's only 30 mL though! Really, if you use Opti-Seal, a wax isn't neccessary at all unless you just want that extra umph. I really think that if you did one side of the car with just the sealant, and then added wax on top on the other side, you wouldn't be able to tell.
Look into Optimum Car Wax (OCW)....it is in spray form but the pros claim it is as good as anything out there, and a 16 oz. bottle is just $15.
