Well, thats gonna tick off both GTO and Bird guys
GTO-Less resale value, more common, and new design and they are stuck with the old old Holden Car design
Bird-It ain't coming, obvious anger.

There's a flip side of the coin though: If GM doesn't make cookie cutter cars , it might help their sales. The GTO and Camaro being unique cars might not be such a bad thing , I think. GM never did promise the Firebird's revival yet it would be wrong to not let the creator of the musclecar era (Pontiac) out in the cold without a V8 RWD coupe . I think this might be pretty smart thinking on GM's part.

Yeah it sucks that Pontiac guys wont have their version, hell I would'nt mind having one of each BUT GM does need to have less versions of each model!

Fuck GM. They couldn't find their asshole with a map, a flashlight, and directions on how to use both.
If you haven't noticed I'm getting fed up with their non-chalant attitude about fucking up their whole product line. Theres about 3 things I'd buy from GM right now, an XLR , a Corvette, or a Silverado/truck type deal. They've gone head and fucked everything else up.
Don't get me wrong, I love the LSx series, and my car, but GM is quickly fading away from my first choice in cars.

That makes me angry because I think the firebird (especially in the end) was one of the sickest cars around. Yeah, I agree that GM is making some big mistakes. What are they thinkin?? Who knows.. I remember when the GT0 first came out, I wasn't impressed with the look. Of course I loved the engine and the embroidered seats but heck, they could have done better. It took me a while to tell the difference between the GT0 and the Bonneville/Grand Prix without looking at the tail lights!!

If it wasn't for the dealers screwing us around on down payment and trade in value on our V6 F-bird. And thats how we got stuck with the RSX. Acura just treated us better and didn't screw us on the trade. But I still like my GTO!

It was a depressing article to read, but at least I can tell people that I drive a small piece of history now.

I know what you mean about the history thing. I never want to let my bird go even though my rents want me to sell it!! No way!

Cling Tight to that Bird. It is a nice car now and it will really be turning some heads in a few years when it still looks nice. That is when people will be saying "Man, they haven't made those cars for years now, and that is a beautiful car." I get many compliments on my car I haven't had anyone guess that it has almost 120K on the clock.

I know what you mean! I work in a four floor building and when I drive the bird I park super far away, people always comment on my car and watch over it from me from our windows! They are always so amazed when I tell them that it's a 99! Great feeling! I will hold tight! It's my child! haha!

I believe most of us consider our cars to be just as close as offspring to us too. :)
