Just curious. I used to ride enduro's, ended up in a cast and never could get serious after that but I still like to fun ride: jump the levees, run the cane fields after they're harvested, hit the roads (if you can call them that) through the swamps. Don't have a personal bike anymore, ride Dad's ancient Suzuki when I do go, but it's a great stress reliever.
Anyone else out there active in the sport or occasional riding in the dirt on 2 wheels?

I have a 2003 KTM 250SX, and a 1997 KTM 125SX. My son has a 2002 LEM LX2-Racer.
We enjoy riding. The 125 I was really comfortable with, and was doing small table-tops and such but it felt too weak for me (I weigh 230 lbs). It's an old bike afterall. So I ended up with the '03 250 and it scares the crap outta me. I've got some adjustments that I need to make to the bike to become more comfortable with it. The throttle being the only problem. It's SUPER SUPER sensitive! The bike has plenty of power, and is more than enough for me, so the 125 is for sale.
My little boy hasn't gotten into any jumping or anything yet, but he's getting there. We ride hay fields here after it's been cut and bailed. Mainly the edges. Just fun rides.

Neato... I've been out of touch a bit. Babysitting for sisters and the like. But the cane fields here make a good ride to burn off built up stress. I jog about 3 miles a day so that usually takes care of it but nothing like a dirt bike to get rid of the ARGGGhhh factor sometimes.:OC:

27s would really slow the bike down, i m really happy the way it rides and performs now, also a local motor builder recoomended that guys with auto trannies stay away from the bigger / really agressive tires cause there hard on the belt drive, i love my holeshots, and i really dont go through too much muck like your doing in that pic, im tired of spending 3 hours to clean. i love trail riding with my buds and 24 of my other BUDs!

No anymore. I had my ama pro license for 2 years, raced motocross and supercross. I wasnt any record setter but I held my own ( well you have to in order to even get the license) you know what I mean. I got out of it after a bad injury that left me with many plates and pins, But hey I can tell you when the weather is changing haha. It was a blast and one of these days I am going to get back into it again somewhat, just not as serious just for fun this time.

Tim I ride a Honda no belts:read:
My transmission is starting to get a little hard to shift it has the electronic shift shit but its mainly from pulling people out and the bike hoping up and down biting the dirt that has been the death of it I believe.
Im not in to speed whatsoever on the dirt I just like to cruise on my atv(unlike in my truck:nutty: ) listen to music and drink beer at the river with up to 80 other bikes out there. We usually have about 12 bikes with us and then there is always 8-10 groups of a dozen or so bikes out at the river too. On nice summer nights there will be 300+ bikes out there and on fourth of july weekend there seriously was over 1000 atvs out there you couldnt even hardly ride on the 400 acres of trails that are out there but it was the best time ever lots of drinking, bon fires and mardi gras style stuff going on too:D

SLOW, i know you have the elec shift program, but i was told on bikes with belt drive not to go to large on the tires cause of stress on the belt, you get to much traction with the big lugs and there hard on the trans. i love the tire/wheel combo on mine , i do a lot of trail rides/ drunk poker runs. my bike also sits higher than a honda so i dont need the extra tire lift. this is my first yamaha, ive always rode honda but for money and total package i love my grizz, i out run 700 polaris and the rincon which costs 1000$ more even with my 275LB ass. i didnt get a foreman cause i didnt want full time 4x4, but honda makes great bikes but in the sport ute category the grizz cant be beat IMO. They are ALL fun to play on though!
