I hear anything from 900 to 1100 lb for best performance. My NX bottle warmer shuts off at around 950, but I have had good results with that. What do you Nitrous Gurus use and why. Can you explain to this nitrous newbie about bottle pressure.
Thanks guys!

You just reminded me that I need to get a gauge for my bottle. :D
I think that you are about right from what I have heard.
I don't have a bottle warmer myself but it is on the list.

You should stick with your kits rec. The reason is that increasing your bottle pressure is the same as uping your nitrous jet size. However, if you don't also compansate with a larger fuel jet, you could be going lean with increased bottle pressure. Now this can be a tuning aid if you have a WB and want to play around.

My old NOS warmer was set for 850 or so. I replaced the thermostat to get 950. (psi is approximately 10 x temp) I upped from an 85 degree thermo to a 95 degree.
Paul I still have one of my gauges in my "parts room"...
I've still got an extra 95 degree thermostat too, that's never been used. Somebody on another board got a run of these made up one time, so I bought two while that batch was available.

I'm running a 95* thermostat on mine, but I've noticed that my pressure likes to hover around 1000 psi when the bottle is full or near full and it's up to temp.

I have always ran mine at 1050.

I run the 95* stat also. My pressure is normally 1050. I have the stat mounted under strap on top of bottle, so it won't shut off before entire bottle is 95*. Now bumping pressure on a dry kit is fine, just like putting a bigger hp jet in.

i personaly spray 100 to 150 on my car(depends on who wants to race). I keep my bottle at 1100. My buddy keeps his around 1000 to 1050. It is all on what works best for you and your set-up, but i have found that 950-1100 is generally what most people run. I say any thin over 900 and under 1200 is good.
