Antique & Classic Car Show, food booths, carnival rides, games, free entertainment, arts and crafts there r 40 classes so everyone get a chance i belive its 15 bucks to show anyone want to do it

ive done this show the past 2 years but am groing to hate it. mainly because they park you in the dirt/grass....and when you get there your clean car turns filthy again. why dont they do this thing on a paved surface?

that still doesnt tell me whether or not its in a parking lot, like real car shows are supposed to be! according the the first post....you say its in Simpsonville City Park, so is it in the park or not lol. if it is on pavement.....ill go.

they always park you by class....so your spot is already chosen for you.

I just called and got a email from Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce.

Show starts at 10am with 40 classes so lots of trophies. If you plan on doing the show you should get there round 8am for registration $13. When I spoke with them they said it wont be on the grass this year, that they plan to line the cars up on mainstreet. I can send email I got that has a list of all classes to anyone that wants it.

Gary, just highlight the entire email then right click on the mouse and select copy. Then come here right click again in the quick reply box and select paste. Easy my friend.

carshow was a joke. they spent 30 seconds looking at our cars....and terry, who shouldve easily won our class....was somehow overlooked and got dicked. a stock shelby GT won (in a modified class)...it was nice, but was not 1st place nice.

haaha some old guy even got mad and asked for his moeny back....oh well. almost 200 cars, NICE cars, and it was a fun day minus the lack of attention with judging!

However.....the company....the weather.....day off..........GREAT.

thats it right there. somtimes we (myself included, bigtime) get too caught up in paying our entry fee and getting a little trophy that costs $5 to make. i enjoy hangin out with everyone seeing nice cars, and meeting new people with the hobby and sharing ideas. if somewhere along the way, i get an award or something, cool. if not....shouldnt be a big deal. i do hate the fact that soo many people put so much time into cleaning and prepping their cars for show today, just to have it ignored and not noticed by the judges. if i wouldve just taken the amount ive paid over the years in entry fees....and spent it all on trophies....i might could have more than tim lol.
