Welcome to LateModelMotorsports.com, hosted by Club Hi Octane. Below, you will find information about Late Model Motorsports and what we are all about!
Club Mission
Our mission is to promote and enjoy modern muscle cars. Great people, awesome cars, and fun times are what we are all about!
Who are we?
Late Model Motorsports was founded in June of 2009 and is a car club centered in the Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina. We love anything and everything fast and clean, but we cater to modern American muscle cars (1980 and newer). The sights, sounds, power, and fun associated with these late model machines are what brought us together. The friendships, fellowships, and good times we share are what keep us all coming back for more! Whether we are at the local dragstrips, car shows, cruise-ins, or weekly get-togethers...it's hard not to have a great time with us as we enjoy our hobby and passion for automobiles! If you have a 1980 or newer American muscle car and are interested in joining our car club or simply learning more about us, don't hesitate to introduce yourself here online in our intro section!
Club Membership
Membership into Late Model Motorsports is not given, it is earned. All members and prospective members must conduct themselves in a way that follows our club rules. We are just as much about our people, as we are our cars. The make and model of the car is not nearly as important as the individual that drives it! So how do you become a member? Check us out online or at the shows, races, or meets. Feel free to get to know our group! If we appear to be a group you we be interested in joining, submit an application to us! The application can be found in this thread...http://www.latemodelmotorsports.com/community/showthread.php?t=4002. This will let us know that you are indeed interested in being a member of our club, and not just someone who hangs out with us time to time! After a period where we get to know you, prospective club members will be voted on in order to become an actual member of LMM.
Club Rules
Conduct yourself in a way that positively upholds the LMM name. Behavior that can create a negative image for our club will not be tolerated. This behavior includes, but is not limited to the following rules:
1. LMM members do not, and will not discriminate anyone for any reason. This includes race, gender, nationality, age, handicaps, etc
2. Respect club members and handle disputes privately. Personal conflicts need to be handled privately, as to not create drama.
3. Negative criticism and/or hurtful comments of other members and their vehicles will not be tolerated. This includes their family. Positive and/or constructive criticism and support IS always welcomed and encouraged. We all know the line between joking/poking fun, and being serious/hurtful...try not to cross it!
4. No public discussion of street racing activities on the internet. We do not condone illegal street racing. If you feel the need to street race or discuss the subject, take it to Mexico!
5. Underage drinking, illegal d r u g s , and those who take part in such activities are not welcome, allowed, or tolerated at any club event. Failure to abide by this request will result in immediate club removal. Any money paid in advance to the club for t-shirts, decals, car shows, etc. will not be refunded!
6. All members must be serious about our club. Don't join just so you can say you are "in a club." All members will be encouraged to lend a helping hand in any way they can in order to improve the club as a whole. Riding the coat tails of other's hard work is frowned upon!
7. Members should do what they can to attend meetings whenever possible, so they can stay abreast on current club business. Meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of each month unless otherwise decided in advance. Locations are TBA. If you can't make a meeting, understand that all formal club business is conducted at meetings and your voice can't be heard unless prior arrangements are made. Excessive absences without valid reasoning are frowned upon.
8. Last, but certainly not least...HAVE FUN!!!
If you have any other questions about LMM, don't hesitate to ask!
