I got my car back this afternoon. I had a few parts, and had a couple of friends refer me to Mike Yeager of EastCoast Performance in Greenville for a few other things. I ended up with the following:

RPM Stage 5 M12 Transmission and Rear Differential with 3:90's
TQ Tube Rebuild
ECS Trans-Diff Brace
Textrilia Z-Grip Clutch with new Master and Slave Cylinder
Elite Engineering Tunnel Plate
SS Brake Lines
All new fluids

Mike offered me such a good price on the items I bought along with installation costs, that I dropped my car off with them last week when we headed to Charleston.

I will say that the car drives completely amazing right now. I was extremely pleased with the total amount I spent, and how nice the shop is. I'm still breaking everything in, but had to play just a little with it on the way home. The car easily broke the rear tires loose at 45 mph, and jumped out so hard that it actually scared me a little. Plus with the new clutch and flywheel, it revs so much quicker.

I can't believe the difference the gears made, and the transmission shifts so smooth that it's crazy. The M12's first three gears are lower than my old M6 with 1st being a 2.97 ratio which is equal to about a 4:10 in a M6 with my new differential.

I don't have any real good pics, but here are a few from my phone.

Some of my old stuff. The TQ Tube Bushings were cracked pretty badly.

Honestly Gary..I don't know if they make drivetrain components that are strong enough for the power your car is making now. I speak the truth!!

So is the car actually going to make it to the track?

I definately plan to take it to the track....even if it's with the stock tires I have on now just to see what it traps.

Now the driver mod that determines my outcome is still in question. :)

I haven't been down a track in probably 10 years.

I can't believe the difference the gears made,

I've been preaching this story ever since I put 4.10's in mine. I have tried to talk Gary into getting the same gear as you before, but he hasn't taken the bait yet.

I was kind of worried as I had quite a few people tell me that 1st gear would be non-existant and very short. But it actually was better than I thought although traction will always be an issue short of having some very good tires.

The clutch is definately going to take some getting used to as there is no slip in it whatsoever. I actually thought I had bought the X-Grip which has a little play, but I was wrong. But the peddle wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

So what kind of tires are you going to purchase now?

Still doing research. For the wheels that I have, the choices for something somewhat sticky are: KDW-2's, Toyo R888's, Nitto Invos, and the Nitto 555R.

So far from what I have read, the Toyo's seem to be working pretty good for a lot of people with FI making quite a bit more power than me.

yeah the 555r's last forever I've had mine for over a year w/ a bunch of burnouts and track passes. They aren't the stickiest tire but they are a lot more driveable in the rain than most other drag radials. I was happy with them, especially for the price.
