i need to find out if an 04 lincoln navigator bottom end and block is the same as a lightning.. some body please help me out cause im putting it back to stock and selling it i want a ws6 or an ls1 camaro please help me out

Dude I have never heard of that being possable, id get on a mustang form or call mark from stable most these guys here know mostly chevy motors.

ive seen any 5.4 navi blocks put into the 97ish cobras, it would prob work

well man me and dad talked about it and he said there hard to come by that are in good condition so ill probably keep it just change the rotating assembly see the rod is knocking but hasnt come through the block can i still use that block?

Blake I hope u didn't mess the crank to bad might need a new one. Drop the oil pan and ull be able to see which ones are broken.

Long as the cylinder isn't scored too badly it can probably be machined.

I don't think ur walls are messed up most likly the crank is messed up, ur going to either get a new one or send it off to sbug cranks, if ur crank is very messed up it will cost more then to buy a new one. Don't for get balancing as well.

Shortblock for $1895. I have seen them cheaper. You could probably sell your stock shortblock to pay for new gaskets, etc or keep it to build.

im hoping so alex i found a new rotating assembly minus the crank it can handle 600hp so im getting that since everything is matching but the crank ill just have to wait until i get the motor out and tore down but remember i just bought a jeep for rock crawling so im not going to race it anymore they are rare and mine has low miles so ill just park it and drive it on the weekends im not doing cams im putting stock heads back on im leaving the same blower on

if you decide to get an LS1......chris tadeross told me they have a 30k mile red 02 t/a for sale there. says its unmolested and in great shape. $8k

well when i bought my camaro i paid 4k, and a week later someone on ls1 was selling a ls1 camaro 5500. guess bad luck lol 8 k for a ls1 TA id be all over it if i had the money. between car and parts i could of bought it lol,

i believe most if not all navigators are dohc yours is sohc but either way, the blocks are the same, you would just have to put everything off yours on it. also i would almost garuntee that the navi has more compression than the lightning, so that means you couldnt run as much boost. so i would just build wat ya got if it were me. or swap over to gm lmao
