Just ordered a RPM Stage 4 M12 transmission to go along with the rear diff, clutch, and trans/diff brace that I have going into the car.

This should take care of everything in the drivetrain. Hope to move on to getting new tires, and my wheels put on the next go-round of mods.

congrats man...it kinda sucks you got a vette and still gotta upgrade that stuff. one would think that being a vette chevy would at least put a 9" rear end in there.

I know. I just want to make sure that I don't have any issues later.

Thanks! I don't know...Gary has a fast car, and I think it will only turn more into monster as time goes by.

Yeah...I decided to keep those wheels. Jon made them look so great! :)

Yeah...I didn't want black either, and chose the Competition Gray. I kind of like the small difference in contrast.

I am also having the Tq Tube bushings upgraded to a bigger size. I hope to have to do this only once, and figured it would be wise to have everything taken care of while it was apart.

The tunnel plate was something extra I wanted to try.

I cant wait to see this Vette in action, Todd you can borrow my MT/Drags once you get it all together. Todd is doing this all the right way and I will use his upgrades as a diagram for mine when I start my rear build.

Hahahaha...with what this is costing me, I may be staying at Motel 6 for awhile until the wifey cools down.

I wasn't planning on doing the transmission, but the time it would take to pull it back out, seperate the Tq tube, shifter linkage and diff and reinstall just about pays for 1/2 the transmission costs.

That's how I justified it...at least to myself! :D

I found out that it's better to do it and ask permission later.

Its not the money spending issue with me, its the time spending my wife gets more hot about.

Typically in the past, I did all of my own work on any of the cars I have had short of tuning, so I would hear about the time issue as well.

But with the vette, I haven't had the proper tools/equipment to tackle this stuff by myself...so I just hear about the costs.
