So I drove to Wadesboro today to meet with a guy that I swapped exhausts with. He got my Borlas, and I got his TI's + cash. I can hear my radio while cruising now! It's very docile until you hit WOT, and it really comes alive. So it's a perfect fit for me.

Also had two small runs. One from an older guy in a Saturn Sky who I think just wanted to see what all the noise on my car was about. (Before the exhaust swap). That was over fairly quickly.

The second was a little more interesting. Heading down 74 after leaving 485, I noticed a car in my rear view with a huge intercooler coming up through traffic. He pulls up beside me, and it's a Dodge Neon SRT4 that is painted Schoolbus yellow. A younger guy was driving it.

After going through a few redlights, traffic cleared with an empty road ahead of us, and the speed limit increased back to 55 mph. He immediately whipped around me to pass, but I seen it coming and dropped it down into 2nd at about 35-40 and nailed it. I let out of it at about 90-95 with a couple of cars on him and slowed down to the speed limit. After that, he came flying around me and never slowed back down. I know he had an aftermarket exhaust, and his tag said "SpoolBus". I thought it was pretty funny seeing that the car was bright yellow.

The shop we were at was pretty nice. Look at what I saw when I walked inside. Apparantly he does all the work for the GraveDigger Monster Truck team. He cranked it up for me, and it was crazy. He said it has about 1400 HP, and sounded like it had that and some to spare. All in all, it was a cool day.

Sweet. You should have asked for a ride in the Gravedigger.

Hey Todd I'm trying to do the same deal with a guy on LS1tech.

I think that you will be very happy. If I had to go with something other than TI's, I would have went with the Borla Touring as they sound pretty tame as well.

Todd would you mind telling me what kind of cash you got? I have no idea what to ask this guy for.

If he's like I was, it's no so much the sound outside as it is the noise on the inside. I have had a lot of people tell me that my car sounded great, but it was ridiculous on the inside.

My wife would have to yell for me to hear her while cruising, and I don't won't to give her any extra reasons/excuses for doing that! :D

Also, my neighbors have a newborn, and I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate me cranking the car up at 4:00 am when I leave. That was one of the biggest reasons I haven't driven it much.

Now it's perfect. The LT's and hi-flow cats give it a little more agressive sound than a stock TI, but it gets loud enough at WOT.
