First run was a 8.01 with no tire warming and bogging bad off the line. Second run I warmed the tires up and got a 1.89 60ft 7.599 @ 96.2mph. Much better than last years street tire runs. I know the car has more in it but im happy with the runs tonight and really happy I didnt break :) Once I get more practice in I will add the nitrous. This was only my second time to the track, still got the Jitters

Nice. I haven't run in so long, I'm sure I would get the jitters as well. It's been years since I've been on "that side" of the track.

Thanks Tim, Im still worried about breaking. LOL The guy asked me "what number you want to run with?" I used the number 777 for luck :no teeth: I still came out the hole like a Vag. and slipped the clutch at a low RPM. Plus the tree was messed up so we had to go of a pro tree lighting system. That was wierd.

pro tree is def hard to get used to lol. 1.8s are not to bad way better than 2.4s. Heard there lightsand timingareall messedup this year. The guy at power parts and he was telling me that they sometimes have to arm drop cars this year LOL. Last year he didnt have all these problems it usually hooks pretty good to.

Me and Crocker were talking before I ran last night and one topic that came up was how with street tires and et street slicks, his car gets hairy up top. He and I were curious about how the MT dragradials would feel up top with street tires. I must say with 17# pressure on my MT drags it felt good up top. Course im not able to leave as hard as him due to his having softer side walls than my Dragradials

Diffrent ply tires . radials dont feel as bad up top as a slick does enless you throw some skinnies/biasply on the front . but you cant leave as hard on radials you take the good with the bad lol. I know that feeling it really sucks when you feel the backend going everywhere .

LOL wish I could tell you. I was so nervious that I pretty much reved up and slipped it. We were forced to run of a Pro Tree last night. I think I was leaving at 3,300 rpm bogging bad out the hole.

bias plys can wiggle around some on topend, but you get used to it.

Felt pretty stable up top with the DR. matched with street fronts. Little play between 90mph and 96mph. Bias plys? Does that mean slicks or radials?

Drag radials pretty much dont wiggle much at all. slicks/bias ply are the ones that want to wiggle up top def scares you if your not used to it. I know it did me when i tried it with radials in the front.

yup. First time I drove the malibu with bias plys I was trying to correct for the wiggle... only made it worse LOL. Gotta just keep the wheel straight, cause your really not all over the road, it just feels like it cause the sidewalls are so flexible.
