I have only found two problems with the car since having the windows done.

I discovered a water leak that was letting rain water into the car, it let the carpet in the trunk get soaked, which then let it work into the passenger side rear floorboard. And I have a nice scar in the drivers side front door window that I never noticed before. It's a vertical line, I presume it's from where the tint guy used his razor blade or whatever to clean the window. The leak cost me $100 to fix, and wasn't his fault.

Now I need to pick out some wheels. Anyone fot any input?

Someone been dunking on that goal? LOL, it looks like the leaning tower of Piza.

As usual, window tint has improved the look of another car.

That is more than likely a pre-existing scratch in the outside of the glass from a small piece of debris in the outside window sweep when the window was rolled down. I see this hundreds of times a month.

Of course, an owner never looks AT there glass until they get their windows tinted, they just look through them. Hence, explaining the "sudden" scratch.

He only cleans the inside of the windows, and the tint is also applied to the inside, and I bet the scratch is on the outside.

Basically what I'm saying is that he didn't do it, especially if it is perfectly vertical.

I told you I'd do it this saturday, maybe even sunday. It will be later on in the day if its on saturday.

Thanks for the explanation, that could be it.

Actually, my tint guy cleaned both the outside and inside of the windows. He cleaned the outside, laid the tint on the outside of the window to get the outline of the class and trim it to fit (like a pre-apply of the tint with the backing still on the tint), then do most of the pre-shrink, remove it from the outside and stick on his wall board. After all the windows were pre-cut, he cleaned the inside and removed the backing and started applying the tint to the inside of the glass.

However, I will concede that it is highly possible that I did not notice the scratch (deep enough that I can snag my fingernail in) until the windows were tinted because the tint makes it that much more noticable because it's darker on the inside. With this particular scratch though, it's pretty easy to notice now that the windows are tinted, especially from the inside. My son was the first to notice it, while I was standing outside. I thought it was a dried water drip line at first, until I felt it.

I'll come up with some wheel ideas and see what we can figure out for the car. At least the car uses a common wheel pattern and backspacing, so wheels should be fairly easy to find.

By cleaning only the insides I meant the final cleaning before installing film like scraping the glass, squeegie, etc.

I clean the windows off on the outside and pattern from the outside also, but I just simply wipe the outside windows off with a microfiber. It keeps your strip boards cleaner.
