Nope. Russ is my whore :grd:
Those GTO wheels would actually fit after some 'custom' work....I might end up using them later on...

Nice Pics Shon. Is there a reason you chose to do the engine install from the bottom? I know they say its easier, but with your car being a LT1 based car was it the only way? I have done alot of LS1 engine swaps and always did it from the top except one time. That one time I did it from the bottom was pretty easy too.

I normally am out the top guy, especially with an LT1, I like using the Happy Hooker but choose the bottom this time b/c I was replacing the K-member. So I got the dollies to roll the K-member and motor together under there. Plus it was an opportunity just to see if it was 'easier' that way.
Which way is better? i would choose out the top but just my opinion.

Will the LS1 and motor mounts line up with a LT1 K member or did you have to use the LS1 K member and mounts?

pretty sure you have to use a ls1 k member

You can use an LT1 K-member with some custom brackets to mount the LS1 onto it.
I was not sure about that when I started so I got the LS1 K-member, but after learning more about it, the LT1 will work.

Ok so to use the LS1 K-member in a LT1 Camaro, did you have to change anything to make it work? Or did it just bolt in like stock?

the only thing different between the LT1 and LS1 k is the motor mount set up.
And you can not convert an LS1 k-member to work with an LT1 k-member. unless you are going to run a motor plate, LOL

NOTE, if someone is going to put one of the LSx's in the LTx body you will want the LS1 R&P plus the steering shaft.
And I use a LS1 Y-pipe, I get asked that sometimes.....

there was something significant b/c I tried, well, significant for me, I think the mounting points are different or the position of the shaft....
