Dicuss track track times, problems with your cars, all the drama that went down, and anything else that went on yesterday at the track.

I for one, had a great time. I knew so many people there it felt like a high school football game. Thanks to all who came out.

i had a best vs herron performance.

6.62 @112, on the 9.5psi WG spring.

problems for the weekend were: balancer bolt coming out, boost control was just.
Special thanks goes out to Tim(2001z) and his pit crew. Thanks again for all the help.

I had a great time even though my car is a bracket car, LOL.

Chris set me up I believe, his peeps coming over and telling me it is not running too well and the bolt is backing out, that is why I asked him if he thought it would hold together for one more pass, LMAO. I was going to pro tree him (ie leave on the first bulb) but decided not to do that and he red lighted anyway and he come around me in the first 60', I was like "DANG he is on a RAIL, that is going to be FAST" and I saw the 6.62 @ 112 and was impressed. Chris was having fun and it was all alot of fun!!!!

Glad to meet alot of you guys and it was a good day!!!

Hate I missed this one guys, school kicked my ass all weekend. I might try to get by the track next Sunday.

Time for a little loctite on that balancer bolt. That wouldn't be good to lose a balancer at 6k. Can't wait to see it on a decent rearened setup and some more boost.

11-10-2008, 09:39 AM
lol actually that was the run i took the controller out all together. i think it ran good cause we spent about an hour letting it cool off and getting the bolt back in. the others were hot lapped kinda. 15min cool down

needs less weight on the front and it will pop.
the T56 set up had 4.33s and launching at 6k+ will hang them about a foot....
it will come around, just the 3rd time to the track with the car, learning new stuff all the time and that is fun!
and having not been in a car for over 2 years, just making passes is a blast for me, even the ones I got out of (ie the last 2 of the day....)

im going next to put in the 3.42 gears back in, buy a new WG spring and run 15psi. i had a lot of fun thats for sure, i think an enclosed trailer will be in the works and a big truck, the wife says im beating up on her jeep. im going to try to run every other weekend, work on the car between track days. im hooked, if i get everything done i would like i think a 118-120mph pass will be possible next track day.

Shon your car was def running like a bracket car it was dead on everytime :). I know rock won the sts but i think jay has the fastest timeslip of a 3.33 lol. hopefully im gonna head out there the following weekend and make some passes:wrenchbanana:

No matter what I changed in the tune, it stayed the same....guess that is good.

Did you change the timing to 30* advance?

Herron Performance

Did you change the timing to 30* advance?

yes but dont think I made a full pass, the track seemed to get loose at the 330' for me (and a few others that I watched) so I got out of it.
it was not pulling any timing up to the point I got out of it so I will run it with 30* and keep going from there!!

I really need to get to the dyno and find out what it really wants rather than just playing but dyno time is not cheap. I have been to the track 2x already and had ALOT of fun for less than the dyno time I need.

i can relate with the bracket car thing... back in may i made 8 passes varying nitrous jetting between a 135 shot to a 175 shot and went 10.30-10.36 at the same mph each pass. played with fuel pressure and jets.... timing.... air pressure in tires....
finally fixed the problem up top and picked up .2 at the end of the day.
