Was wondering if someone in the area could help me out a little im not used to messing with the newer Camaro's. I bought a 99 3.8 5spd car and having a little issue. Ok car runs and drives great without issue but my Service Vehicle (not SES) light stays on along with the ABS Inop,Brake, and Air bag comes on and off. Also the tach is sluggish and seems to stick alot and occasionally just drops to zero for a second. What can cause this? Where do i check first? Im kinda lost here so anyone thats been through this please chime in. Im in Greer so a local would be great. Thanks

I'd buy a new gauge cluster.

Run the codes on it and see what comes up.

My first recommendation would be to connect some logging tool to it and see if the tach is reading right at all. See if there are codes for the SES light. Those things read from the PCM. If the PCM is sending bad signal, the dash will read wrong.
You could have a bad ground too. Check the grounds behind the kick panel just inside the driver's door below the dash, for a good solid connection.
Also, that dash cluster just pushes in there and makes contact. If it's been removed, it may not have been pushed back in place properly. You might try removing the trim around it and pushing on it to make sure you get a good solid connection at the rear of it.
Best of luck!
Oh, and I'm moving this threar to the general electric tech section.
