im not sure if im gonna try and hide it or not. Which would be better, direct port or having it come through the intake??

lol that wasnt in reference to hide it, i was just makin a stab at the rice community for calling nitrous nos. and i think direct port is better, but im not sure, im no nitrous expert.

A direct port kit will cost you well over 1K and you have to have an intake that is made for it.

It doesnt matter to me, ive been saving for a little bit. Hopefully ill have the rest by september. Which one would be the best kit?

that isnt a direct port. direct port sprays directly to the end of each runner on the intake manifold. you cant hide it really. its a pain bc youve got 16 different blahblahblahblahblah. thatsa wet kit too. you cant hide that on our cars either really bc the fuel has to be tapped from the front of the fuel rail.

There isn't much point in hiding it. As soon as one person finds out, everyone will know soon. Gary went with a MAF nitrous kit and he likes his so far, and it looks much nicer than a nozzle.

I thought about hiding it but like David said once one person knows all know. So really there is no reason to hide it. Besides a few of the cars I beat said I was sprayin when I had no kit so if people are going to be sore loosers might as well put more cars on them :burnout:

True dat brother!
My car will still top out north of 165mph with 4.10 gear so top end really isn't affected.

dont go too big on the gear if youre gonna spray it. 3.42 would be a good gear for that car since its auto if youre gonna spray it. too much gear and its just gonna rev up to quick and youre not gonna have as much time int he gears to build speed. nitrous will pull you through each gear with a stock size gear just fine!!!

I Agree With Kyle. I Have 3.73 In My Car And It Pulled Like Hell With The Nitrous. I Wanted To Put 4.11 In Mine Just Because I Wanted To Do More At The Track. But I Wouldnt Go Over 3.73 With Auto.

I already have 373 gears and i love them. Like david said it dont really affect my top end. The fastest ive had my car after the gears was about 160 and still had some to go. Not worried about the gears, just not sure which kit to get.

direct port will be a waste of moeny with the shot you will be doing. just get a nice wet kit (you wont be able to hide it tho, and nitrous doesnt stay hidden long anyway, since you have a post on the internet about it already).

true that lol, i plan on spraying about 150, i read up that a well tuned ls1s can handle a 200 shot. Not sure lol

it can, but you wouldnt be able to put it down. not with the skinny tires on yours right now. no need to spray more than it can put down! btw what happened to you stock wheels? i think they need to go back!

I wish i could put them back on, but they were so beat up from the previous owner that i was putting air in them every morning. Gary has a friend that has ZO6 wheels (like the ones gary has) that he said he sell me. Gonna buy them then get the nitrous hopefully.
