MS4 is a large cam . It needs all the supporting mods to function.

You will need a bigger stall...i personally am not a fan of it. Imo its kinda like overkill on the durations to make giant hp numbers. Sure they seem tantalizing, but i much rather see you go with a smaller, better suited cam. Make a little less peak power but gain a shit ton in drive ability and overall power band. Just my 2 cents

I have the MS4 camshaft, and love it. My car is a m6 car and still have the 3:42 gears. You will have to do alot of tuning to get everything right but as far as driveability, there isnt a problem in that field. Cam makes very good power and torque and has a very good lope to it. But with an auto you would at least need about a 3800-4000 stall for it to work right becaue the power band is way up there. But with a good set of heads and a 92/92 intake setup that would be a beast.

Would the MS3 be an overkill

MS3 would be great, but thats stilla top-end power band cam and your stall may be a little small for it. its gonna be real hard to find a good cam with that small of a stall speed on your converter, but with some research im srue you can find somethin alright

I think something like the tsp torquer v.2 would fit you a little better and make you a little happier. they make good torque and have a good power band. you could also go with a 3000 or 3200 stall with that cam. the specs are 232/234 595/598

And if you dont want to change your stall, you might want to look into a 228R from Texas Speed. Just put it into an 05 GTO and it sounded mean but performed a whole lot better.

With that converter, you need to be shopping for no more than a 224 duration. I think the comp 224 224 would suit you just fine.

Its tried and true. Match it with a decent set of heads and you have a killer setup that will still maintain great drivability. You will not be disapointed.
