I was looking at the latest issue of Musclecar Enthusiast magazine and they have a great article on the Challenger concept. It seems they went to Chrysler R&D and got a comparision of the car up close. Just for giggles , they also did a side by side photo/tech comparision with a '70 model Challenger. You don't realize how much bigger the concept is until you see them beside each other. Also , they had some interesting facts that I didn't know. The concept is designed where four adults can sit comfortably in the car and the hood is carbon fiber, the stripes are actually the the hood skin , not painted on.

The Challenger has a very good chance of making production , too. It is based on current model platforms , not a hodge podge of parts like the Camaro concept. If it is offered to the public , I would seriously consider the car. Priced above the Mustang GT but lower than the GTO , the pentastar boys have really done their homework on this one. They also stated the concept was in the works long before the newest Mustang hit the streets. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one.

Mopar Muscle did an article where they were allowed to DRIVE the car! He said the same thing, its larger than you would expect. He said they told him to take it easy because the wheels were one off show pieces and not made for high speeds or burnouts (Ya right!)

And the WHOLE BODY is carbon fiber. Probably easier to make for a one off show car. Production will probably be steel, with C/F hood and other parts.

One thing I miss, is the wood grain dash. As cheesy as it is, I cant get into brushed stainless and aluminum interiors. Gimme a fake plastic woodgrain dash, with black and white gauges and an ORANGE needle! Classic looks all the way.
