Hey guys, I just got fired from my old job as a driving range attendant (long story. new manager is a prick, i hate golf anyway).

I'm looking for a new college job, I'm a junior and probably won't graduate til my fifth year. I'm looking for something simple, little to no responsibility, with some good physical work to burn off some calories.

First thing that comes to mind is pushing carts at a supermarket. Something simple like that where I don't need to deal with many customers or other a-holes in general.

Any suggestions?

You're a pretty smart dude , Jon. I'd check out the local scene on Monster.com and see what they have .

UPS or FedEx - at the actual hubs. just stackin boxes - get to destroy shit sometimes.

no cusomters to deal with and as long as you're not lazy its an easy job. physically demanding but easy job in genearl.

Hell no, I did that for 2 months when I was 14. I will never work fast food ever.

Cant blame you there fast food sucks. My buddy worked for UPS at one of hte hub stations loading trucks and transferring packages from the different conveyor belts. You might really check into that he made 11 bucks an hour I believe.

I have a friend that worked for a road company painting the lines on the roads and and local interstate branches putting down reflectors...he only did it thru summer break and made enough money to not have to work all this semester....usually made around 27/hr and if it was an interstate job it was bumped up to scale pay....usually over 30/hr somtimes....and its physical work...somethin to consider...

I had a job in college at a horse farm. It was physical, and I got to mess with horses quite a bit (i like working with animals) and it paid $10/hr. Every now and then, the boss would take us to the bar for lunch, or we would just go on our own, pretty cool. We also kept the refridgerator stocked with beer. I wish my "professional job was like that!

work for a county park or city park. My buddy works for the forsyth village park every summer and makes good cash, All he did was setup baseball diamonds and drive a huge lawntractor and mow. It was cake and he set his own hours. Like 9 bucks an hour or so maybe more?
