Ok I finished building and dropping the new motor inn last week. I have put 300 miles on her and she feels strong. Oil pressure is 48psi at idle and high 80s at rev. Temp has yet to get above 185. I will be trailering the vette to vengeance tues. for a dyno tune. Wish me luck.

NEMESISVETTE

Long tube headers, Fast 90 90, bigger inject., that should put me above the 450rwhp mark .

How's The Handling With The Car? I Know That They Tend To Be Hard To Handle With A Lot Of Power Because Of The Light Weight. Those Mods Sound Sweet. Hopefully Everything Will Work Out Just Fine For You.
NEMESISVETTE

POWER feels great and handling it is good. It does want to walk a little when you get in it, but hell thats fun :D

u dont even have headers yet?
2001z
04-02-2008, 11:38 AM
he has lt headers its just the ones he has are not very good ,leak and don't line up so swift with his x-pipe.

i dont think that should translate to a power loss tho! usually LTs are LTs. but its gotta be loosin power somewhere, that thing should make 460+ easily.
NEMESISVETTE
04-02-2008, 02:06 PM
by not lining up it does loose power. the flanges at the headers are off .25 inch to the exhaust ports on the dart heads. lol I only paid 250 for the ebay specials . you get what you pay for I guess. it blocks the exhaust ports.

Yeah That's Not Good. I Know That You Will Be Fixing It Though.

460+ is alot to ask for with 205 heads and that cam he is running on 350ci motor. plus he only has 300 miles on the motor. Once he gets a fast 90/90 and the new lts should be pushing the 450 mark easily . They did a car last week at vegeance where a stockish ls1 made 28rwhp going from a ls6 to a ported fast 90/90 and throttlebody. I couldnt believe it till he showed me the numbers. They also said there dyno puts down lower numbers compared to the other 2 dynos in atlanta.

What kind of headers are you going to go for Gary? The Texas Speed LT's look like the best deal for a C5.
NEMESISVETTE
04-02-2008, 07:14 PM
Ya I just ordered the TSP lt. I could get a set of LG for 500 used but the TSPs are larger and will fit my motors needs better

NEMESISVETTE

Yes brad a 2000 or newer LSX car is a good choice and there getting easier to find now. I would love to see that beast of a cobra run.

I don't think you will be disappointed with these tires Gary. Although the tread wear is going to be way less than average due to the soft compound rubber, the grip is acceptional for the price. When they are warmed up, they plant my car to the ground pretty well on the juice.
NEMESISVETTE

As soon as the new LT headers come in and I retune\dyno. I will make a mths worth of drag passes with the et streets. Then its time for juice.
The EnforceR
04-05-2008, 03:18 PM
so you're gonna install the LTs and then drive all the way back down to vengeance for a re-tune?
NEMESISVETTE
04-05-2008, 05:10 PM
Yes. due to the blockage the headers now have and the larger injects.

Most of us that have aftermarket rims have sold our stockers. I think Jon still has his, but I doubt he'll part with them.

I have a set of C5 rims with tires on them. The tires aren't great, but the rims are ok. They're 17 and 18s I guess--they're stock. I never used the tires, just the rims. They were on it when I bought it, I bought different tires/rims, and put the newly purchased tires (older) on my rims I took off, leaving me with the newly purchased rims, but my original tires that were still good.
DUH. Only I can make a yes or no answer into an entire paragraph :blah blah:

I would love to find a pair of 17x9.5 ZO6 rims like mine to put my slicks on. That way it still looks decent at the track; however a pair of wagon wheels would work. Using Tims rims and ET Streets is my only option at this time; as cool as it is of him to let me use his rims and tires I feel bad turning his rubber into smoke : ) lol

Size on the etStreets? I need a 26x11.5x17

The guy that did my ground light kit and stereo system has a brand new set of C6 rims---18 and 19s I think--but Im not sure on the size--whatever stock C6 rims are. He wanted six hundred for them when I was considering getting them for my C5.
