anyone intereted in heading out to greenville tonight? i know its easter and pepople may be doing family stuff, and also might already be burnt out since you all met yesterday, but im gonna go out if anyone else wants too tag along. word is, that everyone has been meeting at cycle specialties on wade hampton and theres been good turnouts.

Put up some decent numbers at the strip today. I ran a 9.09 and backed it up with a 9.07 both at 79 mph. I could only spray it in second because in first it just blew the tires off. I feel some mid 8's coming for the iroc with some stickies and a gear. We will see though.

I can see you don't know much about TPI cars...I know that is very low but that is quite amazing. My car came stock with 190 hp at the crank, meaning about 160 to the wheels stock, pretty pathetic if I must say so. Therefore, it needs the juice.

There is a T/A that looks just like Dave's, but it is not lowered and doesn't have the stripes. I saw it from the side and thought it was him too, but it was 4x4'n.

They run high 15's low 16's stock. a low Mph too, I want to say 80ish but i'm not sure.

my mustang runs 79+ on motor and doesn't make no where near 260 rwhp nor 400+ torque. how many passes did you make? seems like the timer may have been off that pass.

A foxbody probably weighs half of what the IROC weighs also.

I feel pretty confident my car wieghs about 3400lbs in stock trim, plus me and a 75 lb. sub box, plus 25lbs. for the bottle, and me, 285 lbs. So weight going down the track is approx. 3800 lbs, pretty hefty. I will take it to the truck stop to find out for sure.

I ran 4 times:

1st sprayed out of the hole, car went sideways....9.47 @ 80mph.
2nd sprayed 60ft in 1st gear, blew the tires off....9.48 @ 80mph.
3rd sprayed after shift to second...9.09 @ 79mph.
4th sprayed after shift to second...9.07 @ 79mph.

The reason why it runs such a low mph is because all its power is out of the hole, because of the massive torque and relatively low hp with a heavy car. Plus the car has a 2.73 rear gear I am working on getting rid of. A 700r4 transmission has a very low first gear, and a high second and third, meaning the car eats through first gear, then dies with that high second and high rear gear.

Just to give you an idea, I shift out of first at redline @ 5k @ 30mph. I shift out of second gear @ 5k @ 85 mph. See how low first is and how high second is? I don't even get out of second gear in the 1/8th, actually got a little to go.

Its like seeing a diesel truck run, they run 60ft like they are about to run a 5 second pass, then die. Therefore a low e.t. and a low mph.

Thats about 200lbs less than what I thought it would tip the scales at.
