So who here does there own work on the vehicles...
only thing I have had mine in for is a trans rebuild.. everything else I have done myself..

I did an entire engine rebuild on my Regal. A new intake and injectors on my formula, new tires etc...So far I haven't done anything except some stereo modifcations on my SS. I don't have time to do much anymore on my own, I have to take it to a shop to get anything done.

dropped a valve into #7, and had to tear it apart to get it out :headwall:
installed the cam myself also, and the suspension as well..
I also do my own tuning..
only thing I dont touch as mentioned before is the Trans...
I have blown tomany of those up to know that if you dont know what your doing, you can really mess it up..

The reason for my buick rebuild was due to the fact I threw a crank bearing. I drove all the way to chicago and back without checking the oil...oops...I never got a light or nothing. I get like 8 miles from home and my power just starts dropping with it to the floor I was only going 45mph. Final it just locked up and bam that was the end of it. Took me 3 weeks to get parts and put it back together. I got pics of it at my parents place. The crank was shot.

Do all my own work except trans internal stuff. Built my 418 myself was my first motor to build. It burns some oil though I think cause the fucking JE rings are POS's I broke one just filing. Think one may have broke while popping it into the cylinder with the ring compressor. Could have something to with it being 3am when I was building it and after quite a few beers:nutty: In two weeks Im installing a JAG performance fully built 80e cause I have killed 3 trans and 2 converters so far. Im rebuilding the engine this summer again and punching it out to a 434. My Nitrous Pro Flow nitrous kit comes in next week which can support up to 350hp:devil:

Its good to do your own work but it also sucks cause friends that are lazy want you to "help" them do their shit. Next month I get to do a heads, cam, converter swap on an 02 rcsb Z71. I dont really mind it that much though cause I dont want him to screw his shit up.

cam swaps on these GenIII motrs are super easy
couple of things to move out of the way, but other than that it's a breaze
