IF YOU WERE GOING TO START MESSING AROUND ON A CAR WHAT WOULD BE THE FIRST THING THAT YOU DO? I'M THINKING THAT BOLT ONS WOULD BE THE FIRST BUT I RECKON IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU'RE WANTING TO DO IN THE LONG RUN (YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY ARE YOU WILLING TO SPEND).:thinking:

Lid, long tubes, and a good flowin exhausts are your basic bolt ons...

Then if you want more power you either can go the N20 route OR heads/cam package...

go with a lid, ported stock TB, headers, good exhaust, good intake manifold. then if ya want more swap the cam out and i ya really want a monster swap the heards while your at it.

always do the bolt ons first, bc it makes no sense to do internal work w/o already have the supporting bolt ons. at any time ya get the itch for a lot of power and funds are low, throw some juice at it.

no prob man, its always good to have an accurate blueprint before ya start spending money and possibly buy the wrong things dont dont really help.

We won't let you spend $1000 for 10 horsepower. IT'S ALWAYS GOOD IN MY OPINION TO ASK WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DONE TO SEE WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR ME AND MY BUDGET.

hes just messin around with ya because cdavis has learned all his LS1 knowledge from us pretty much. thats what we and this site are here for tho, so dont hesitate to ask stuff.

yea man, i'm just picking with you. I would much rather point you in the right direction and have you ask questions all the time, than you go out and spend money on parts that are expensive and aren't going to give you that much power.

But yea bradsblackss just post up what u want on here and everyone will help you out. Like kyle and dave said i didnt know anything about ls1's when i got mine but i have learned alot since ive been on here and hanging out with.

Yea i guess so, i just wish that when i did my cam i would have did the heads as well but o well. But other than that yea i love everything. Its just not fast enough, it seems fast for a day or to then it seems slow lol.

Its just you got use to it. When i first started sprayin my car it felt balls to the wall... now its just OK at best..

My cousin told me earlier today that he found a black 01 on autotrader for 9k its bone stock. I tried to find it but no luck.

I Think I Would Try To Find One Stock And Do It Myself Also. There Is To Many People Like Us Dogging Them Out Now Adays. But It May Really Be Hard To Find One With All The Things You Want In It.

Black SS, bone stock, shouldn't be that hard to find, just wether or not its in the NC/SC vacinity is the question. You might have to travel to find one at a good price.

then just get a car with nitrous. So you can stomp it all the time on motor and think "ehhhh, its ok" then when you hit it with a healthy shot you think "oh yea, this is nice." And, as long as you don't spray it ALL the time, it doesn't cost much at all. I fill my bottle only once every two months, or three months.

That TA is ok, but like you said, the wheels would have to go, tint the windows, it would clean up nicely.
