Dang, that really is a LOT bigger. No wonder they yield 40-50rwhp more on a H/C car than the stock TB and intake.

That Is A Big Difference From Stock. It Should Definately Flow Some Air Now.

no bigger is not always better. when your modding a car you have to keep everything in a balance between volume vs. velocity a big TB like that for sure will help but only on a car that is flowing alot of air. if you were to take that TB and intake setup and throw it on a bone stock LS1 it will probably lose bottom end and may gain some top end but i have seen many examples where a bigger TB and matching intake will lose HP and TQ. i just got out of street legal performance at UTI and they taught us about all these basic principles of how to modify cars and then we would put these theorys to the test and prove them on the dyno. the easiest way for me to explain it is take the LT1 and compare it to the LS1 we all know the LS1 is better but we also know that the LT1 has a lower rpm power band this is because of the smaller TBs that come on LT1s they have lots of velocity but not much volume which causes a more snappy feeling as compared to the low velocity high volume TB on the LS1s which causes a slightly less snappy response but a higher rpm range because it can flow plenty of air whereas the LT1 intake design begins to become restrictive at higher rpms.
but i am certain that cjg454ss probably knows much more about this than i do and im sure he has all the supporting mods and tuning needed to run more volume than velocity, but to the average joe who sees a big TB in a magazine that says gain xx hp and xx tq this is the stuff they dont know and that is often why people without understanding of how these modifications should support each other often end up with cars that have all these fancy parts but still run slow.
sorry for the long post but i was amazed at some of the stuff i learned and i thought i would share the knowledge.

Well If He Is Building What He Really Says Then He Is Gonna Need Alot Of Stuff That Is Bigger Than What He Had.

Im pretty sure you know how to make your car fast I wouldn't worry about telling anyone just show them when like you said the money is there to do so.
And by the way i doubt you have the slowest car on here, you have a fbody that right there shows that it is not the slowest!!!
And also very nice car man!!:thumbs up:
