Found an old rusty chevy stepside that Im looking to buy, it has a shot TH350 that Im thinking about rebuilding, its gonna be my first tranny to open up. Hopefully you guys can help walk me through it.

The first shop I worked at when I was 18(1978:cry: ) was to clean all the parts in auto trans. Most of them being of course turbo 350/400 at the time. MY god there are a million parts to those things:) BUT the best thing about auto trans. are that the most important thing about them is that all the componets ARE clean. My mentor at the time used to love to instruct me to clean them once for fun, the second time to get them clean & the 3rd to actually have them ready to reinstall, point being is that especially in auto trans. Cleanlist is next to Godliest:)
