I am going to ride out there, it all depends on the weather though. It looks kind of cloudy outside today but maybe it will clear up. Thomas, you need to throw some bigger jets in that beast and come out tonite.

ya'll didn't miss much friday night. nothing really special happened and no one really fast was there. chris moore was there in his new jeep cheeroke srt8, runnin n/t bc he said he races for money down in gville on sunday's. BUT on his last run of the night, they forgot to NOT show his time and it was a 7.7 lol. my car on the other hand was running like pure dog shit and the best i got out of it was 8.51 BUT she was running consistent due to running anywhere from 8.51 to 8.54 about 5 times. it was fallin on its face at the line so i dunno if thats bc it was SO humid or something is wrong with it. who knows.
MrDavid
07-28-2007, 11:02 AM
I forgot about all the humidity last night. That could have played a minor roll. That wouldn't really make it fall flat on the line though. Must not have been your day.

with a great launch, you might be able to hang close with the cobra. He didn't look quite as fast as Thomas' car so there might be a little hope for the S-10.

greer maybe a shorter drive but shadyside is a much better track and I dont care who wants to argue that ive ran at both and shadyside has a much better quality track and halfway decent area to hang out. ill stick to spendin fri night at shadyside when im not workin

it wont launch good when its hot....all the freakin rubber laid down from the street tires makes it too damn greasy out there. we may not even take the truck, but ill try to go anyways.

when I had my 94 GT it ran consistent 9.6 at shadyside and consistent 9.8 at greer...and my uncles S-10 run 7.4's consistent at SS with a best of 7.32 and consistent 7.5's with a best of 7.38...So theres my take on which is better

It Went 7.51 At 98.1 Mph. With 850 Psi. But I Know What You Mean. It Started Spudering At The Top Of 3rd Gear. Hopefully I Will Have Good Bottle Pressure. It Is Full And I Have A Torch.

How long does it take a bottle warmer to get a cold bottle up to pressure??? It takes a propane torch about 2 minutes, and most of the serious guys use a torch anyway because most of the cars don't have alternators so they have to conserve power.
The EnforceR
08-05-2007, 12:10 PM
track cars = torch
street cars = bottle warmer
MrDavid
08-05-2007, 02:06 PM
if pressure is low, ie. 800 or so, it takes about 6-8 minutes to heat up to 925-950
89RABIDFOX
08-06-2007, 08:46 PM
If My Pressure Is 800 I Can Have 1100 Or Better In 2-3 Minutes. Ha!!!
MrDavid
08-06-2007, 09:51 PM
I have a special heater switch that cuts mine off at 950 and it cuts on when it is lower than 900. Keeps me from blowing it up if I forget and leave it on.
