Well i got in my car yesterday and let it warm up and drove it to burlap1980s house and let it sit there all day >>>got back into the car and drove it home after about halfway home i heard it makin a terrible noise well long story short its fukt again it sounds terrible now so i guess ima have to build it again dammit

yea but he has put a decent amout of miles on it he has had it for 6 months and drove it everydsy for a good while, so they prob wont do anything. it sounds like its in the head on the passenger side i think he dropped a valve or something but im pretty sure its in the top end of the motor

If I had paid a bunch of money to have an LS1 built like Kent's, and only got 6 months out of it, I would be seriously pissed off no matter how much or how hard I drove it. Justin, Jon, and David drive their cars pretty hard and never had internal trouble, so why did Kent?

And another thing, if they didn't want to take responsibility for it, I sure as hell wouldn't let them build it again.

kents motor isnt built kent has a stock motor with low miles and a cam installed other than that its just your basic bolt on motor. the bottom end has never been touched by hawks and i agree if it is a top end prob, yes, its there fault because they assembled the heads. On the other hand if its a bottom end prob kents just gonna have to eat it, because he chose to buy a used motor from them instead of building his. they never cracked open the bottom end.

im in the process of building my 408 but after some research i would just buy a forged 347 short block for 2700 bucks and do it yourself. i mean geez once the heads are off its a weekend job at best. take it to hawks if you feel like wasting some money

If you're right Jay, about the dropped valve, lets just pray it doesn't come out like John's car did. If Kent dropped a valve, he is screwed, and better start saving for some forged pistons and hope he didn't score the cylinder walls.

I think i'm gonna go with a true duals setup. I have been thinking about it for a while now and I would like a new sound. The Loudmouth is just so freaking loud and doesn't have too good of a camming sound, + I have had it on there for over 3 years now. Its time for a change. Jay told me he sold the single chambers back to you Thomas, I'll buy them if you will sell them again. I am going to see if Kyle's dad can fab up the piping for me.

i dont expect them to fix it and it does have and few good miles on it since ive driven it everday but ima hope its just a top end thing but its still gona be hell. So who wants to help me get it out ima do it as soon as i can to find the problem and get it fixed atleast so i will know how much it will cost to be fixed.

well I really hope you have it up and running again soon Kent. I'm really sorry for ya man. You haven't been out to hang out with us nearly as much as when you first got the car going. Heck, Thomas has been out to chill with us more than you have lately! I hope all goes will with the fix and you find out it will be an inexpensive repair (but we all know LS1's aren't cheap). well the last of my parts are ordered, ls6 ported oil pump, ls2 timing chain kit, clevite rod and main bearings, and last but not least ARP rod bolts. im shootin to have it in the car and goin again next weekend hopefully

Thomas, if you do decide to sale your car, then you should advertise in the Charlotte or Atlanta auto trader.
