Well I Have The Engine Assembled And I Would Have Already Have It In The Car But I Think When My Dad Put His Back Together He Used Half My Bolts. I Couldnt Find The Pressure Plate Bolts So It Brought Me To A Stand Still. Im Gonna Get Them Today And Proceed On. Hopefully I Will Have It Where I Can Drive It By This Weekend. Ill Holla If I Do. But That Is Cool About Running Motor. I Dont Know What It Is Gonna Be Like. I Didnt Go As High With Compression As I Wanted To. But I Think It Will Be Alright. We Will See Shortly.

well, after this attempt at putting the Centerforce Clutch in, The motor is now locked, or in a bind. It won't turn over at all so it looks like I will be taking it apart for the third time to find out what is locking it up. I am getting really tired of this.

What In The Hell Do You Think Would Have The Motor Locked Down? That Dont Make Any Sense What So Ever. Just Putting A Clutch In Shouldnt Do That. Why Dont You Just Check The Starter Before Taking All That Back Out. Starters Will Go Out Just By Taking Them Out And Putting Them In Over And Over Again. But I Think I Would Try That First. That Is Just My Opinion. And I Have Had To Change My Share Of Trannys.

Well since you are the drivetrain expert, come on over and figure this crap out. We disconnected the starter and tried to turn the crank bolt and it is stuck. The driveshaft spins when the car is in neutral and when it is in gear(with the clutch pressed in) which lets me know that the clutch is in correctly and working. I am lost here.

Your Damn Motor Took A Shit. J/k Man. I Dont Know If It Aint The Starter. I Have Ran Into That Before And That Is What It Was. I Would Say You Have The Clutch Disc In Backwards But You Said It Works. So I Dont Have A Clue. Tear Back Down And See What You Messed Up.

it broke a flywheel bolt and it is extending too far into the flywheel and out the back of the crank. That is what is locking the motor down. I am going to have to break it back down and drill the broken bolt out.

Well That Is Good Kind Of. You Know It Could Have Been Worse. Im Glad It Is An Easy Fix. Hopefully You Can Get It Going Soon. I Got My Motor Inthe Car And The Tranny Bolted Up. Now All I Got To Do Is Bolt Up The Long Tubes And Put The Carb On And Wire Up Msd And Im Ready To Hear Her Purr. Then Outrun David. J/k Lol.

well it wasn't too hard to find, but to fix is a different ballgame. I am gonna have to use an easyout tool to try to pull the broken bolt out, and if that doesn't work, I don't know where I am gonna go from there. It would be nice if it was just broken in the flywheel and not the crank because then I could take it to a machine shop and get it milled out, since it is in the crank, it all has to be done from underneath the car.

Well At Least It Wasnt Anything Drastic. At Least It Can Be Fixed Easy. You Should Have The Tranny Out In Like 10 Minutes Now. I Mean You Have Almost Had Your Tranny Out As Much As Ive Had My Stroker Engine Out. But Hopefully This Big Block I Mean Little Motor Will Last A Little While. Hahaha.

no, i dont think they do....i was gonna sell my old stock one to an LT1 guy so he could have it resurfaced to use with a stock clutch, but GM told me it wouldnt work.

hey kale, finally ran my exhaust out the back like you did yours.....even under the axle too believe it or not ,with plenty of ground clearance, painted the piping black so it doesnt stand out too. its a night and day difference in tone, interior noise level, and amount of dust it kicks up, i love it. glad you were the prototype bc i wouldnt have done it if you didnt like yours. now i wont have a headache driving to the beach next week.

the only thing i changed was i extented the tailpipe so it would dump in the rear of the car near the bumper instead of right under the seats. everything rattled when it was dumped before the axle, it was too loud inside, and it would kick dust up all over my black wheels. now its quieter inside, no rattles, not as much dust, and yea it still sounds the same on the outside but it has a nice lil mustang tone now when it hits about 2000-2300 rpms for some reason. i like it tho...its all 4 inch. luckily my dad had some 4 inch pipe that was coincidentally pre-bent to fit perfectly under my axle and go out he back, and i just re-used my turndown that was already on it.

well idk about "good" ground clearance, but i didnt loose any clearance over what i had before. you can kinda see the pipe hangin down from behind the car if ya get back far enough but to me its worth the benefits i got from it. i painted it black so it doesnt stand out as much.
