I haven't been on here in a while, but the most awesome thing happened! I went out to Quaker Steak and Lube last Sunday in Sheffield, OH. They have a really nice car show out there so I went. It's about an hour away from my house so after a few hours I started heading back. After racing a blue trans am (which the guy thought i was a dude too! LOL ) on the way home I was all about just stepping on the gas! well I spotted an older firebird getting on the freeway, it was an 85 trans am. So I sped up to him, we exchanged nods and then we both got on it. To my surprise the T/A stayed with me, I was only pulling away by a little bit. Now my car isnt the fastest of them all, but gees this guy was right with me! needless to say we ended up getting off the freeway together and exhanged numbers and such! What a way to meet someone! And honestly, I have never met anyone in my life that is just like me!! Since that day we cannot stop talking to eachother! I never ever thought i would meet someone that awesome by drag racing on the freeway! LOL!!

I met my wife at a Mustang show! And no she doesn't own a Mustang, never has. But she had an 85 V8 Camaro and a 2000 V6 Firebird with a Ram Air hood.

Heh... getting in on this late, but it's always been interesting, the emotional charge of hitting the accellorator against a member of the opposite. Most impressed I was in regards to this was when driver in the next car at the stop light had a hopped up '69 Malibu SS. I say "hopped up"... it was either hopped up timing-wise with a camshaft that was way radical or it needed a bad timing adjustment. And it ran too fast to be out of timing.
(Wonder if I saw too many James Bond movies as a child and it's a "learned" reaction? I forget the name of the movies but I do remember several that introduced them that way.)
