Uncle had a '69 Goat that he kept in immaculate condition. What a RUSH to drive that thing. Just missed the opportunity to pick up a solid black GTO Judge that only needed new tires and and replacement front seats. I found out about it while at work, talked to them, was going to get it when I got home. 2 days later when I got home it was gone.

So.... who out there has a GTO Judge or even an earlier GTO that you want to sell EXTREMELY cheap? (it doesn't have to be black but I lurve black vehicles.)

A lot of folks are doing "clones" right now. Real 60's musclecars are getting crazy on their prices but you can find a clean base model for a reasonable price( in this case a LeMans or Tempest) and add all the parts to make look and drive just like a real GTO. Heck of a lot cheaper.

so.... you say you're willing to drop the 400ci engine in a tempest for me and put on all the body mods really really cheap? *flutters eyelashes*

That is a thought... I did see an old tempest for sale in B.R. but it had a 6 cyl in it.

keep badjuju away from it, it will end up with an ls1 in it somehow.

*GRIN* First I have to make up my mind. I can afford either a new street bike right now or this "dream" I've wanted since I was a teenager. Sigh... decisions, decisions.

Go with the dream, more satisfaction that way through achievement. :D

I have always liked the long narrow body style GTO's personally, but I wouldn't say no to a cheap GTO of any year.

sigh.... guy in the front of the subdivision has 2 goats. '67 and a '69 But both need soooooo much work. I'd have to pay a shop a fortune to fix it. No rust holes in the body (unusual for vehicles this old for south Louisiana) But
1- broken windows
2-ruined interiors, headliner, seats, carpet, door panels and dash need to be changed out
3- new paint jobs needed,
4-the engines would have to be rebuilt.

Have any ideas what would be a good price to offer him? I think the engines are the 389

Hmmmm... I would enquire first if he is willing to sell them, and then hear his price. I would also ask to take a closer look at them. Like the under carriage, knocking on the side panels and all that. Doing this may make him nervous enough to sell cheaper than he asks.

that's a thought. and it probably will be the car when I get something. Just found out that Triumph is no longer in Louisiana. They had been in New Orleans but ... that was before the storm. Another business casualty.

magnet test is always important on old vehicles. magnet wrapped in a soft towel along the body to check for bondo
