Does anyone here run (or know of) Lunati's asemetrical VooDoo cams?

aparently the back ramp of the lope has a less agressive slope than the front.

supposed to give really good under the curve power

http://www.holley.com/types.asp?type=526 (scroll down for the ls1 cams)

What do you think?

Oh yeah another question What does the ICL stand for (in the same column as LSA)

I know this is a new interest/question on several sites and I will do some research on this tommorow and hope to give you some valuable info on this tommorow. Power under the curve is ALWAYS a good thing. I have a bud at Comp cams that I can get some feedback from. Hope I can provide some feedback for ya.

thanks. Im young and my only experience working on cars is from highschool shop, and doing stuff for my friends.

but i have picked up a lot o fknoweldge by just paying attention and listening to the pros. i do know that it matters Where your torque curve is, that its not all about peak hp.

ICL = Intaqke Center Line

We have had very good luck with VooDoo cams in customer's engines. Also have done several custom VooDoo profiles for dirt track engines with limited lift rules. Very nice cam series, look for more in the future from Lunati.

Camaroextra,

The less agressive slope on the rear is also for a gentle drop of the valve. This way, instead of dropping the valve hard, it has a much more gentle closing, and far less valve bounce. This also equates to a much longer valve life expectancy.
Voodoo's do open the valve much more agressively, plus have more lift than other Cam manufacturers. So you have to be aware of what springs you plan on running.
As was already stated, ICL stands for Intake Center Line, and is often what is used to check and degree your Cam. I would recommend checking the entire cam, not just the ICL. Note that the ICL is in Crank degrees, as is the LCA (Lobe center line angle). On the other hand, the LSA (Lobe Sep Angle) is in Camshaft degrees.
BTW, the man (Harold) that designed the Voodoo line, no longer works for Holley.
Just my .02 cents.
