I think I have finally talked Thomas into coming out there in Chris Black's roush and racing the yellow cobra. I will have 4.10's in this weekend but that is not as cool of news as what else might be happening. There should be some good racing this weekend most of the usuals are there.

long story short i am putting new rocker arms, studs, and push rods in my car. i should get it done by friday or sat. depending when the parts come in

nothing, its just the ones i got have almost 1200 miles on them and i figured it was time for new ones...jk. seriously though after diagnosing it I came to the conclusion that it was a stupid mistake, that the roller rockers we put in the car were self aligning and i didnt need the guide plates for the push rods. this caused an incorrect fit in result the ball stub in the bottom of the rockers were gauding causing scoring and friction resulting in heat that burnt the oil onto the rockers(sludge). also as they wore it cause clearances that caused the rock arms to make some noise(the whole reason for taking the valve covers off)

anyway tonight im ordering new (non self aligning) full roller rockers. i already have a new set of stubs.

well it was a s&w 40 cal. hand gun. when i bought it i was going to buy it new but the place i bought it had an identical one and he said i coulld pick up both for 950. the new one was close to 700. so i had two i dentical guns so i kept them about a year and a half and sold the one that was used originally. so i didnt feel too bad...

well, I don't have to work, they told us last night that we could have Sunday night off. But.....my wife is directing a christmas play at church at 6:00 and I didn't go to it last year when she helped with it so she is obligating me to go this year. It will be a really bad Christmas if I don't go because she will tell everyone that I just wanted to go race people in my car and I didn't care about her stupid play. For those of you single guys out there, you will find out one day what i'm talking about. I talked to Chris earlier and he said the difference in performance was pretty shocking with the new gear and a little spray. He also has to work tonight so I guess it will be a while, like after New Years, before we make it out there again.

i know. I raced Jeff Lamb tonight so I had plenty of action for a Sunday night. Chris Black wants to race you Kale, or Jeff Lamb wants to race you also while he is spraying. Whenever you get it tuned post up so we can set something up. The video camera will be coming out for that one!

sounds good to to me, im curious to see how it runs also. i dont mind racing as long as it is in good fun. im really trying to take it easy till about 2000-2500 miles, just to make sure all the bugs are out, like the rocker arm problem. that came up after driving it to concord.

we ran on motor, i pulled him about 1/2 to 3/4 of a car length twice from a second gear roll. He really needs to get that car tuned.

i would but when i talked to jeff creech he said he doesnt reccomend WOT without a decent tune on a forced induction car. right now im still on a mail order tune. i dont know how right he has a lot of experienceand and i would like to stay on the safe side.

yea creech is a very well known tuner from Carolina Auto Masters. he was even on pinks with an LT1 car last year i think.

oh yeah 4.30 gears? why so big, nitrous along with power adders likes a little taller gear to lug the motor, you get more usable torque. 4.30 seems really big

very nice, im going to build my bottem end when this one goes. now reason to yet. doesnt burn any oil and about 10 mins ago i hit it with a 240 shot a couple times after bj and will left. i still got some popping in the exhaust my tracking down. let me know if you need a bottle refilled or a tune.:wrenchbanana:

240 was nice, the car really felt unbelievable, 4th gear pulled like second gear. and tire spin in third was an issue. i dont recommend that big of a shot, i have the 150s back in, i just wanted to see if it could take the shot. knowing that i think a 100 shot second stage is in the mix just in case starts to walk me during a race.:ko:
